Erin Treloar
Erin is the Founder and CEO of RAW Beauty Talks, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping every girl find confidence in her unique beauty through education, public events and media production. She is a thought-leader tackling the growing issue of low self-esteem in young women and men across North America. Through her work with RAW Beauty Talks Erin has spoken with hundreds of women to better understand our relationship with beauty and confidence. Her RAW interview series features images of women without make-up, photo retouching or filters in the hopes of infusing media with images of real, authentic beauty.
Erin’s deep-rooted passion for the cause comes from her own experience as a teenager who was deeply affected by the media's limited portrayal of beauty. At the age of 16 she developed an eating disorder that left her hospitalized for 3 months. Throughout her recovery she was forced to dig deep and rebuild a positive relationship with herself and food. Today she is passionate about creating positive change for the next generation. She is a contributing blogger for Huffington post and her work with RAW Beauty Talks has been featured in Marie Claire, Elle and Health Magazine among others.
